Posted on 15/11/2016
Congratulations to Janka Reynders who was one of ten students, chosen to remember and honour the great sacrifice of Australia’s war heroes as they take part in official ANZAC Day commemorations in Singapore in 2017.
Students in Years 8-11 from 39 Secondary Schools entered the competition, writing essays on Australia’s involvement in World War II and how this shaped relations with the Asia region today.
The students will visit historic sites in Singapore – including the Johore Battery, Fort Canning and Alexandra Hospital – before attending the dawn ANZAC service at Kranji War Cemetery.
