Sports Academy

Years 7 to 10 Sports Academy

Students in Years 7 and 8 can select to study one of the two sports offered; Hockey or Netball. In Years 9 and 10 Cricket is also available with Hockey and Netball. This program focuses on the chosen sport for 25 weeks a year. Students have the opportunity to achieve their personal best specialising in one sport. Differentiation allows for students intending to make representative sides through to students who are beginners. Higher end facilities, equipment, specialist teachers, strong links to with State peak bodies, along with camps and excursions, the Sports Academy is the H&PE learning areas marquee program. When applications exceed places selection processes are implemented. Attendance, behaviour, previous PE grades, club involvement and aptitude drive the selection process if required.
